Alaska RV Adventure
The journey begins in Dawson Creek, British Columbia - "Mile Zero" of the world famous Alaska Highway. The road is paved now, but still an adventure. We revisit the old Alcan Highway and interesting spots in Canada along the way - Summit Lake, Stone Mountain, Toad River, Liard Hot Springs, Watson Lake, the Yukon River, Dawson City and Whitehorse. In Alaska we visit Skagway, Haines, Eagle and beautiful downtown Chicken. From Fairbanks we drive north on the axle busting Dalton Highway, across the Arctic Circle to the oil fields of Prudhoe Bay. Along the way, we explore the Gates of the Arctic National Park and the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. The high point of a trip to Alaska is a visit to Denali National Park and a look at "The Great One". |
